After three weeks in Italy I've finished all the medical tests that needed to be done and have had a pre-operation meeting with the doctors. Just to complicate things though, the anaesthetist, when going through his check lists asked if I had any problems with my thyroid, which I have never had, but he noticed a small lump on my throat. He called the surgeon who would be operating on me. The surgeon had a look and said he could feel some macro nodules which could cause a problem with the operation. I am beginning to think I'm falling apart at the seams. The end result is that I will have the prostate operation during the week beginning 12th March. They will sedate me in a different way so as not to have any problems, the prostrate is the number one priority at the moment, then look into the thyroid at a later date.
As for Kooky, well he has been returned to the UK and I'm waiting to hear from the engineer's as to what will happen next. Without Kooky and living in a house is getting to me a little, theres to much space and 90% of my things are stuck in Spain. I miss doing things my own way as I am trying to fit into someone else's normal domestic lifestyle. I'm not complaining though. My friends have been brilliant, giving me lots of help and encouragement. I just have to accept the situation and look forward to the spring when I hope to be back on the road again.
It seems I've been travelling all my life. For the past eight years I've been following a simple, nomadic lifestyle, living and traveling full time in a camper van and meeting with other like minded travellers.
