We set off under an overcast sky towards Victor Harbour where we checked into the VH Holiday camping Site, we needed to charge up our computers, cell phones and have a good shower. Although warm there was a stiff breeze blowing and by early evening it had started to rain, fortunately not too much. With free WiFi we took the opportunity to catch up with our emails and update our Facebook pages and the blog. Overnight there were a few more showers, which continued until late morning when we were ready to move on.
Our next stop was to be Coorong National Park. There were several places we could camp and we chose Panika Point, where we found a super spot. As we pulled into our camping spot I noticed a lizard, black in color, with a short tail and some green markings. We later found out this was Shingle-back or sleepy lizard, another animal we had the pleasure of seeing in its natural habitat. A short walk from our camping spot we found a large sandy beach and saw Pelicans bobbing about in the water close by. We have been lucky enough to have seen a great deal of wildlife, some of which is unique to Australia.
It seems I've been travelling all my life. For the past eight years I've been following a simple, nomadic lifestyle, living and traveling full time in a camper van and meeting with other like minded travellers.
