Early in the month I had an initial meeting with doctors in the radiotherapy department where my treatment would begin on the 19th and last for eight weeks. I was to have treatment every day from Monday to Friday, not a pleasant thought but the weekends would be free.
To pass the time while waiting I bought and fitted two solar panels on the camper and made a few other modifications to the electrical system. Feeling bored and trapped in the house Niki joined me for a night away in TC to test out the mods. We drove to Montalto on the coast a couple of hours drive north from Rome. The weather was wonderful, it felt great to be in the van again.
With the start of my radiotherapy I had to be at the hospital every day from Monday to Friday at 12:30. There was no chance of getting back on the road, which I really wanted to do, annoying, but necessary to complete my treatment.
It seems I've been travelling all my life. For the past eight years I've been following a simple, nomadic lifestyle, living and traveling full time in a camper van and meeting with other like minded travellers.
