My current location
As always time flies and I've been in Rome for almost three weeks. The weather for the most part has been good with lots of lovely sunshine, but it has felt cold some days. I've managed to help Niki clean out the garage a bit and we have thrown a huge pile of stuff away. Living for the past few years in a motorhome I've learned to live without all the usual accumulation of stuff that builds up when you live in a house, and feel better for it.
Travel friends Gillian & Godfredo arrived back home yesterday, other friends, Tom & Fran, joining them for awhile. As Gillian & Godfredo only live ten minutes away from Niki we are looking forward to all meeting up over the next couple of days. It will be good to catch up on all their news and plan our travels for the coming months.
Tom, Fran and I have talked about going to Greece which to me sounds great and would be cheaper than staying in northern Europe. I still have to go back to the UK in order to get the MOT test carried out, but will set off after the Easter weekend, hopefully to return within a couple of weeks.
It's been great staying with Niki, but I'm getting itchy feet to travel somewhere and Niki will be working again soon. Now being officially retired and a pensioner, work for me is a thing of the past. Hopefully Niki will be able to join me at some point through the summer.
It seems I've been travelling all my life. For the past eight years I've been following a simple, nomadic lifestyle, living and traveling full time in a camper van and meeting with other like minded travellers.
