I slept quite well although I felt a little cold at some point during the night and heard a few rain drops. We set off around 10 am to make our way to Woerden from where we could pickup the Rhine Cycle Path and we could begin our ride proper. This was to be the first time I've traveled with anyone else and it wasn't an easy day for me. Although I was told that the others like to travel slowly it was so slow it was difficult to keep any rhythm. At times we were averaging only 6 kilometres an hour, despite it being a warm and sunny day and we rode only on cycleways. It took almost six hours to cover 56 kilometres and we arrived at the campsite at 7:30. I hope things pick up tomorrow or it will take forever to cycle the Rhine.
It seems I've been travelling all my life. For the past eight years I've been following a simple, nomadic lifestyle, living and traveling full time in a camper van and meeting with other like minded travellers.
